The E-Control Spritpreisrechner WebApp is a specific price-comparisson-tool for gas-stations. It allows users to locate the ten nearest gas-stations and show current and accurate prices of the cheapest 5 gas-stations of this selection. The user will see the stations either on a map or in a list an with selecting a station he or she will get detailed information about address, payment options, opening-hours and so on.
If the user's mobile-devices locationing-option is turned the app may use it so the user can locate the nearst stations with a single click. Also it ist possible to type in any other address to find the stations neares to this point. Also the user may save "favorites", like "home" or "office" to later start the search also with just one click. Other options like default-settings for the quest for either "Diesel" or "Super95" fuel etc are possible.
The App also takes into account latest studies which gave evidence that price-comparrison-tools which show all prices will give suppliers the opportunity to tend toward the most possible expemsive prices. So over a certain period the whole price range rises instead of going down which would be the original intention. So the E-Control Spritpreisrechner does only show the cheapest prices giving competing companies only the chance to look out for the cheapest prices and - if the want to compete - the will have to get cheaper instead of more expensive. The tool also does not want users to drive loads of kilometers just to find a station which might have some cent cheaper prices. That's why the selection of stations is limited.
The E-Control Spritpreisrechner PC version is already used by about 50.000 people per day. The brand new WebApp (launched October 29th) is currently already used by about 5.000 people per day.
