Learning in situ with geolocated questions
QuesTInSitu is a web and mobile application designed and built to support learning in situ activities based on tests. Users can create geolocated questions and tests (routes) in a webmap (from Google Maps). The questions follow the educational technology standard for assessment IMS Question & Test Interoperability (QTI). QuesTInSitu also is a player of questions where users can answer the geolocated questions and they are automatically corrected. Using the application an author can create two types of assessment in situ activities: assessment in real & virtual situ. QuesTInSitu mobile allows students to follow the assessment in real situ activities, locating themselves and the questions in a map, answering the questions, receiving feedback and score in situ using a mobile phone.
QuesTInSitu enables the creation of innovative, enriched and context-aware assessment activities. QuesTInSitu facilitates learners to put explorative and spatial skills into practice and fosters their motivation, reflection and personal observation.
Since the moment real educational activities have been done in Barcelona, Sant Llorenç del Munt, Sils and Girona.
