Imagine having unlimited access to all your music and video anywhere you go: on the bus, in your car, during work, exercise or at a party! Subsonic streams media from your home computer directly to your Android phone - or to the browser on your computer. Apps are also available for iPhone and Windows Phone 7. The app caches songs for offline playback, and preloads/resumes streaming for the best listening experience under varying network conditions. Subsonic can stream virtually all audio and video formats (including mp3, ogg, aac, flac, wma, avi, mpeg-4), and supports dynamic downsampling to lower bitrates. It also supports album art, playlists, podcasts and free-text search. The Subsonic app is free and there is no monthly subscription fee.
