Taree2y is a smartphone app which displays aggregated crowd sourced traffic conditions on a map of Cairo with quick access to detailed traffic conditions of Cairo’s main streets. This is done without ever asking users to manually input traffic conditions. The traffic data is collected unobtrusively from users’ smartphones by using the information available from the near ubiquitous GPS chips found on smartphones. This allows us to build an extensive database of historical traffic data that can be used in a number of first & third party apps and also provide real-time and accurate traffic data to our end users and business customers.
