Tweri: Peace of mind for Alzheimer’s patients and their families and caregivers.
Do you want to be calm when your parent with Alzheimer goes out for a walk? Tweri is a mobility solution that provides peace of mind for caregivers and the patient himself in the early stages of the disease.
This solution is based on the use of smartphone devices (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone -future-) or no smart satellite tracking devices, as watches and bracelets.
Before the patient starts to move, the caregiver can set safety limits, based on a maximum time that patient may be outside, or in a maximum radius of action. In the event that these limits are exceeded, an alert will be sent to the caregiver with the last known position of the patient (e.g., email). At any time, if patients feel disoriented, they might send an alert to their caregivers with the last known position or make a phone call, although the safe limits are not exceeded.
Furthermore, if the patient is without GPS signal or data coverage, even without battery, the server system of the solution can alert the caregiver of this fact after a while.
