Winner of AppCircus in Sao Paulo

Meet now the latest AppCircus winner, Incredible Circus an app made in Brasil!

On Wednesday December 14th we stopped in Sao Paulo to portrait the local ecosystem of apps.

Incredible Circus is a blast through cannons on 32 levels as a bodysuited daredevil. Use elastic bands and trampolines to jump above obstacles or through fire rings, remembering to avoid falling and cracking your helmet!

This lucky winner the winner has received a nomination for the Mobile Premier Awards, to be held in Barcelona during the Mobile World Congress 2012.

The runner-up is Thumba Photo!

Thumba Photo Editor comes with more than 70 high-quality adjustments and effects, all very easy to use and can be applied many times you want in photos of any size. Zoom and comparison with the original photo tools are easily accessible.

Winner of AppCircus in Ljubljana

This time MobileMonday Slovenia was colored by AppCircus colors. We were happy to have AppCircus show in Ljubljana, and already exiting about next year!

Ten great apps started with their 3 minutes presentations and demos. There were 2 teams from Croatia, and 8 from Slovenia. Some of them really impressed with great creative presentations bring lots of questions and reactions from jury and audience. After all teams presented their apps, the jury had a quite hard work to decide… But finally they declared a winner, the Monkey Labour team!

Meet the AppCircus in Ljubljana winner, Mobot the Robot!

Mobot the robot is expected to mindlessly labor at his job deep inside the bowels of a corporate production facility while his monkey boss vents frustration by throwing obstacles Mobot’s way. Help Mobot stick it back to the system while avoiding being replaced by a cheaper model in this deliciously retro 80s style electronic handheld game rehash.

We need to mentions also Spotie app from Croatia and Wazzap app from Slovenia, they took 2nd and 3rd place.

Jury of AppCircus in Milan

On December 20th AppCircus will land in Milan to meet the best 10 apps of region.

The deadline is still open, but in the meanwhile we will tell you who will we judging and selecting the best app!

Meet the jury of AppCircus in Milan:

Guiseppe Guerrasio (Microsoft): He works in the division & Developers Platform Architect Evangelist from Microsoft as he works to help customers and partners, and technology adoption in the Microsoft application development with particular reference to the Solution Architect of large Italian companies and major Italian Web Site.

Frangini Lucarini, is 34 years old and I am 10 service digital in innovative contexts: startup H3G Italy, Altran consultant, client director at H-art and I am currently in Italy Nokia ecosystem of applications and development Nokia Care services.

Max “iRev” Uggeri: His eclectic education has been guided by his visceral passions: information and hacking led him first to study Electronic Engineering at Milan Polytechnic, later to move along the East Coast as a guest of Media Lab, only to continue his career with Michael Porter at the Monitor Company, working on IT and Network Security. Currently own an ethic Venture Capital Fund in London, seeding initiatives related to the world of iOS Apps.

Claudio Moderini is an interaction design director and researcher, with a background in architecture and industrial design, founder and director of the Master Program in I-Design and director of the Interaction Design Department of Domus Academy, the international institute focused on innovation in design, based in Milan, Italy.

Selected apps at AppCircus Moscow

Meet the latest news about AppCircus in Moscow next December 7th:

The jury members will be:

1. Nikita Parfenov, associate at “Bricolage Venture Fund”: BSc, International College of Economics and Finance (Higher School of Economics), BSc, Banking and Finance (London School of Economics and Political Science, U. of London). Nikita is strategically focused on seeking out new IT and software startups that can become leaders in the markets they are operating on. Both for investing and/or entering the team and doing value-add.

2. Kirill Petrov, Head of Innovations Department in “i-Free”: PhD in Economics, St. Petersburg University of Engineering and Economics, Kirill is one of the founders of i-Free and Head of i-Free Innovations.  Kirill Petrov has authored a series of publications on strategy and innovation in mobile content.

3. Valentin Merzlikin, Director of “ProstoGAMES”: MS in Economics, Novosibirsk State University, Valentin is a professional specializing in casual and mobile games industry. He is CEO, ProstoGAMES (2011 – Present), Contract software development company and games developer and VP, Mobile Platforms, Alawar Entertainment (2010 – 2011).

4. Igor Barinov, Head of “Hint Solutions”, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Information technology; his professional interests are mobile apps development and digital publishing. Since 2006 Igor is a head of “Hint Solutions”.

5. Dmitry Tsymbal, Head of “Antares Software”: Antares Software is creating applications for different mobile devices: telephones, smart-phones, touch-phones, multi-touch devices, communicators, navigators, mini-pads, pocket PCs, netbooks and other gadgets, some of which aren’t even available in the market yet.

6. Roman Sidorenko, Partner at the Untitled venture company: Sevastopol National Technical University, WantMore is a world class innovator in digital & interactive formats. WantMore is pushing the boundaries on new ways to engage audiences in today’s connected world.

AppCircus Bologna Winner

AppCircus arrived yesterday to Bologna to portrait the best mobile apps of the region, and now we are ready to announce the results:

FullControl has won the best showcase of apps in Bologna:

FullControl can control all of your applications, because each of you can simply create your own commands for each application and share them with others. It allows you to access the contents of folders on your Mac and launch files with the program of your choice!

The jury also wanted to give a special mention to Trigonon, the runnerup:

Trigonon is a puzzle game which leads you into an amazing journey inside your mind. Explore 40 different areas of your mind across 3 different environments. Use barriers to alter the path of a thought, and capture it using positive energy.

AppCircus winner in Tallinn

Tallinn has been the third city where we have celebrated an AppCircus event during the same day! So November 21st has been a busy day in our calendars. It is so nice to see the resemblances and the differences in each country of the ecosystem of mobile apps!

The evening was smooth and exciting, and the jury decided to reward the following apps:

QMinder has been selected as the best app amongst the top ten chosen to pitch:

Qminder is the queue elimination system.

A free application for the end users to “take their ticket” remotely. The system leverages the existing hardware such as PC’s, tablets and LCD screens to provide queue management to establishments that couldn’t afford them until now.

And Bear Care has been selected as the runnerup of the event:

Bear Care is an augmented reality action game, in which you have to protect your beloved helpless Teddy Bear.

You can also cuddle your bear to keep him happy. The fun part is that it takes place in a real environment, which is blended with lively and playful 3D bears.

The local organizers did a great job, and this is why we’d like to thank them! Jury members, curious people who came around to check what’s AppCircus about, developers, start-ups… Thank you for being part of the show!

AppCircus is Hiring: Blog Writer / Social Media Wizzard

AppCircus, the multiplatform app showcase in collaboration with the best industry events around the world is looking for a freelance Blog Writer / Social Media Wizzard for its global activities.

Day-to-day responsibilities include writing blogposts and press release announcements, text editing, liaising with influential online publishers, coordinating communications with local AppCircus organizers, managing AppCircus social media presence and developing concepts with viral potential.

Profile:
– Freelancer with experience in managing social media campaigns and who is active in the mobile & tech online discussion groups.
– Full proficiency in English is a must.
– Experience as a blogger is essential.

– Knowledge of the mobile developer ecosystem is a plus.
