Meet the jury at AppCircus@IQ in São Paulo
We're excited to announce the jury members that will select the best apps of AppCircus@Innovation Qualcomm, São Paulo next Thursday, August 23rd at 6.30pm.
The selected developers will do a 3-minute pitch of their app in front of the international jury of experts below. The winner will also have the possibility to win a nomination to the Mobile Premier Awards, during the 2013 Mobile World Congress.
The jury members include:
Cassio Spina
Graduated by Escola Politécnica of USP in electronic engineering, was an entrepreneur for 25 years in tech sector, currently working as an angel investor for innovative startups. Cassio is also the founder of Anjos do Brasil (www.anjosdobrasil.net) an entity for fostering angel investment, columnist of Exame, INFO and Endeavor, board member of companies and author of the book "Angel-Investor - A Practical Guide for Entrepreneurs and Investors"
Pedro Berti
Network & Community Manager at The App Date SP (http://saopaulo.theappdate.com) and Be My App Brazil (http://br.bemyapp.com) responsible for creation and cultivation of new communities, connecting people and businesses.
Carlos Kokron
Managing Director of Latin America at Qualcomm Ventures and is currently scouting companies that will help transform the lives of people and businesses in the Region by leveraging the mobile Internet. He has funded and helped grow technology companies since the dot-com bubble, such as Patagon.com, Spring Wireless, Yavox, Navini Networks, Alog Datacenters and Senior Solution.
Dr. Jose Henrique Barreiro
Mechanical Engineer graduated from UERJ (1994), Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from UFRJ / COPPE (1997) and Doctor inBusiness Administration and Economics from the University of Salamanca / USAL / Spain (2010), is currently official for Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology - MCT I and Assistant Professor at the Catholic University of Brasília - UCB.
