Checkd wins Appcircus Oslo & goes to Mobile Premier Awards 2015

The Appcircus 2015  season in Europe started in Oslo, Norway. On Wednesday, 14 January, the last round of the competition celebrated the 6 apps that made it to the final.

Checkd app was voted as winner by the jury of top app experts.  Checkd is a MSS (Mobile Software Suite) giving the construction total control on tools, tasks and time. The app is a collection of applications each solving a particular task for the user. The first applications made are towards the construction industry.

The winner receives a direct slot to pitch at the Mobile Premier Awards 2015, the largest cross-platform app showcase in the mobile industry, and a point of reference for the startup and app community. The exciting event will take place on 2 March 2015, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

Educational Games for Kids is the last 2014 winner of Appcircus, this time in Moscow

Oleg Demyanov collected the Appcircus prize on stage for his winning app Educational Games for Kids. It happened yesterday 22 December 2014, in the city of Moscow, Russia, for the last Appcircus of the year that took place during the Mobile Developer Day Russia, one of the most important mobile industry events in Russia and CIS.

Educational Games for Kids includes different Edutaiment Games to improve attention, logic and memory.

It is a children’s interactive educational magazine. The magazine is for children aged 2 to 10. Colorful pictures and interesting tasks that help your child improve learning skills and begin to understand the world around us. The magazine includes tasks for developing attention, imagination, logical thinking, memory and speech, which are so important at an early age.

Oleg will fly to Barcelona next spring, sponsored by Intel Software, to pitch at the Mobile Premier Awards and attend the Mobile World Congress ’15. Congratulations to the winner!

The prize goes to…GuidePal! The app winner at Appcircus London 2014

Appcircus went back in London for a vibrant competition at the beginning of the winter season. On 11 December we gathered 7 of the most emerging innovative apps to pitch in front of a jury of experts and an interested audience.

GuidePal is the android app winner, with his developer Mattias Borg from Stockholm, Sweden. GuidePal app is a travel and city discovery companion with the world’s best handpicked for the user. It works like a pocket concierge. Users can book a hotel and in-destination services and activities, such as tours, concerts, restaurants, nightclubs, and so on. They can also get the best tips by locals and friends that they trust.

The winner receives a nomination to the Mobile Premier Awards 2015, the largest cross-platform app showcase in the mobile industry, and a point of reference for the startup and app community during the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, Spain.

Paperairplanes app lands on the podium of Appcircus Paris

Paperairplanes is an android app that allows you to easily craft multiple models of paper airplanes. As its developer Simon Marquis explains, the app is all about crafting aiplanes sorted by rating or difficulty, with Youtube video tutorials, symbols and basic folds to understand the principles of Origami and finally Tips and Tricks.

On Wednesday 10 December, Paperairplanes was our winner! Out of the 9 android apps pitched live at Institut Mines-Telecom in Paris, Simon and his app got all the attention from the jury panel and the audience with his simple but specialized app cared in all the details.

Simon will fly to Barcelona next spring, sponspored by Intel Software, to pitch at the Mobile Premier Awards and attend the Mobile World Congress ’15. Congratulations to the winner!

On the other hand, we really enjoyed meeting all participants and discovering their curious useful and ingenious android apps!

Finalists of Appcircus Paris: good luck!

Here we are, with the 10 Android app who made it to the last round of Appcircus Paris, and will gather on 10 December in the City of Lights to compete for the 1st place.

The prize to the winner is sponsored by Intel Software and it includes: a return flight to Barcelona for MWC 2015, 3-day visitor pass to the Mobile World Congress 2015, a slot to pitch at the Mobile Premier Awards 2015.

Congratulations to the winner of Appcircus @DroidconNL: Babbelbox App

On Monday, November 24, an AppCircus competition took place during the Democamp session in Droidcon Amsterdam. 7 finalist Android apps pitched live on stage in front of a jury of experts. The event gathered an excited and vibrant audience who followed the pitches and a very active livetweeting with the hashtag #Appcircus.

Babbelbox got the 1st place, with the innovative idea and concept to make own original video guestbook.

As a prize, Babbelbox app and the developer Frederik Dumazy (foto) won the big prize sponsored by Intel Software, including

  • a return flight to BCN for the Mobile World Congress ’15
  • 3-day visitor-pass to the Mobile World Congress ’15
  • the opportunity to pitch live at the Mobile Premier Awards 2015.
