AppCircus Developer Day is a free event for developers to discover new opportunities for creating revenue-generating mobile apps and succeed in the app economy. 


Developers of all levels as well as students will have a unique opportunity to;

  • Learn about market trends of the mobile app ecosystem
  • Participate in technical workshops conducted by industry experts on how to develop apps
  • Get expert insight on app development, marketing, and monetization
  • NEW! Speed Mentoring sessions: show your app in one-on-one sessions with mobile experts and get invaluable feedback to improve your app and make it a success!
  • Showcase your app at the AppCircus contest and win a nomination to the Mobile Premier Awards!.

Workshops

Workshop 1 (Open Data) and Workshop 2 (MMA) are full, but you can still register for Workshop 3 (Creating a Windows Phone 7 app in one hour, by Nokia) and Workshop 4 (Develop with Google App Engine and BlueVia). Hurry up!

Speed Mentoring

10 minute one-on-one Speed Mentoring sessions of with experts to improve your app (free of charge!)

AppCircus Contest

10 developers pitch their apps live on stage in front of an expert jury (free of charge!)

  • Submit your app profile to enter the AppCircus contest
  • An online jury will select the 10 apps to present on stage
  • Remember that you will have to present your app in person on stage in Barcelona!

Rules for Participation

  • Submissions and presentations to AppCircus are FREE and open to any developer, startup or company
  • AppCircus is open to apps running on any platform
  • Applicants must send one representative to present the app live on stage.
  • The apps selected will have  three minutes to pitch on stage.
  • Apps are submitted through the AppCircus platform at appcircus.com.
  • Registration and membership for AppCircus are FREE!
  • appcircus.com members need to add the app to their profile before applying for an AppCircus.
  • Candidates can submit more than one app.
  • Each app can only be presented in one AppCircus, unless if it receives a Runner up Waiver.
  • One app in each AppCircus will be nominated for the pool of apps from which the 20 finalists for the Mobile Premier Awards 2013 will be selected.
  • The app with the most votes, after the nomination winner, will receive a “Runner up Waiver”, which allows the app to reapply for selection for another AppCircus.
  • The pitches must be done in English
